Releases Overview

KioskGaming ships software updates on a regular schedule. This section explains when updates happen, what is included, and what you need to do as a shop, agent, or partner.

Why we release in batches

Instead of changing the system randomly throughout the day, we group changes into releases. This helps us:

  • Test everything together before it goes live
  • Tell you what changed in one clear summary
  • Reduce surprises during shop operating hours

Types of releases

TypeWhat it meansWho is affected
Regular releasePlanned update with new features and fixesAll portals may get small improvements
HotfixUrgent fix for a serious problemOnly the affected area; announced quickly
Soft releaseNew feature available but limited scopeOnly shops or roles enrolled in the pilot

What is included in a release?

A typical release may contain:

  • New features — e.g. cashier shift management, new reports
  • Improvements — faster screens, clearer messages
  • Bug fixes — things that were not working correctly
  • Policy updates — withdrawal limits, approval rules (announced in release notes)
note

We do not share internal technical details (code, database, APIs) in public release notes. You will see what changed for users, not how it was built.

What you should do when a release happens

  1. Read the release notes — short summary of what is new or fixed
  2. Check if your role is affected — shop, cashier, agent, or player
  3. Brief your team — especially cashiers and shop managers
  4. Report issues — if something does not work as described, contact your agent or support channel

Most releases require no action from shops. The update is applied on our side and portals refresh automatically.
